Food in Cuba

Cuban cuisine is a combanation of spanish, african and caribbean foods. A typical cuban meal would consist of rice or beans, meat which is mainly pork or beef and a salad of lettuce, tomato, avacado, cucumber, carrots, cabbage and radish. the most popular sauce to accompany meat dishes is mojo. This is made with ingredents such as oil, garlic, onions anda varity of spices. Soups and stews are also quite common. Food in the west of Cuba has a slight chinese influence. Food in China


Food in China is traditionaly made up of mainly 8 dishes. These are called Hui, Yue, Min, Xiang, Yang, Lu, Chaun and Zhe. Today they are 4 main styles of dishes, Beijing Style, Shanghai Style, Sichuan/Szechuan Style or Cantonese Style. Chineese food mainly consistis of rice, noodles and/or vegtables. Traditionally the food is prepared in bitsize pieces so it is easier to eat with chopsticks. There are many variations of dishes in China. Food in France



The food most commonly assosiated with France has to be french fries. Although this is what the name implies, french fries are not from France. This is a mistake a majority of people make. One item of food that you will always find in a french kitchen is a baguette. This long, thin, crispy bread accompanies every meal in France. The french also have great cheeses and wine which they always eat after a great meal. Even though wine is produce all over france the main wne region is in the region. The different tastes of wine grapes grown like in many other countries French food is uauslly very simple but very fresh and full of flavour. Another food assosiated with France is foire gras. This is a rich paste made from goose gizzards. It is has a strong flavor and is a required taste. The french also eat frogs legs, snails and oysters. All of these items are more common in the south west. In the north, apples are very popular and are used for making cider. they also use a lot of sea food and cheese such as Camembert. A lot of the food in regions of france is influenced by what food they produce or the countries that border them. In the south a lot of the dishes have a Spainsh or Italian influence. Food in Italy


Italian food varies depending on the region you are in. The most common and widly known food to Italy is pizza. Other foods popular in Italy are pasta, rissoto, curred meats and gelto (icecream). They also have great breads, wine, cheeses, and olive which in turn makes great olive oil. Italians take great pride in the food and only use the best of ingrediants. They use alot of fresh vegtables in thier cooking. Italians are known for thier fresh pasta and thin pizza bases. The is pasta made from scratch but includes eggs. It has a richer taste and is more smooth then dry pasta. It is called fresh pasts. Italian pizzas are always made on a thin base. They can be cooked three different ways. In a woodburming oven, a sotne oven or a normal oven. Each way gives a different flavour to the pizza. The italians eat their main meal in the middle of the day. Usually this meal consists of a large number of courses. In the north they would tend to use more butter and flour in thier ooking where as in the south they tend to usr olive oil and tomatoes and pasta.
